Tamara found her love for personal training, her passion and excitement for helping people
reach their health and fitness goals intensified. To teach and challenge her clients she educated
herself in a multitude of areas including nutrition, strength training, TRX, indoor cycling and much more!
Tamara is a firm believer in functional training as it translates into daily life and feels it is
the most beneficial type of training. Using free weights, machines and a variety of tools she creates
total body workouts that will transform your body and your life!
As a personal trainer she feels it is her purpose to give each of her clients an exclusive program to
help them achieve their personal health and fitness goals. She works with her clients on a variety of
different levels depending on their needs, from nutrition, to weight loss or gain, core strengthening
and balance, to athletic training, plyometrics and much more.

I am one of the many people who use to get “inspired” after Christmas and join a health club with the
plan to get into shape before spring. As is the case with many people, the great plan tended to last for
about two months. Fifteen months ago I decided it was time for a new approach and went with a personal
trainer. As luck would have it (no offence to the other great trainers at the club) I was set up with
Tamara. To say the achievement to date has been more than I hoped for would be an understatement.
Tamara has been great at both keeping me motivated and at the same time pushing me to improve constantly.
She is able to make each session lively and challenging. But at the same time she is monitoring to make sure
you do not over do a workout and end up getting discouraged. I like that she listens to you and will adjust
a planned workout based on any aches or pains or even availability of a particular area of the gym. She makes
the time fly by and it is not til the end of the session that you realize how much she has got you to do and
that you can accomplish more than you thought possible.
While the conditioning and weight loss was my primary goal for getting the trainer, I have discovered that
not only has she improved my conditioning and strength in the gym,, it has helped keep me motivated at work
and more importantly it has carried over to significantly improving my golf game, a definite added bonus.
For those on the fence about getting a personal trainer, I strongly urge you to try a couple of sessions. I
think you will be surprised with the results. The one piece of advice I have for those starting out with Tamara
is that if she mentions “Sumo Squats”, RUN AWAY......

I recently completed an 8 week group training session with Tamara Hambly. My goals were to tone and tighten,
strengthen my core and rehabilitate my shoulder. After 8 weeks under Tamara's instruction and motivation, I am
well on my way to achieving my goals. I feel stronger, have more energy and my shoulder is so much improved.
Her positive attitude and extensive knowledge makes working out so much more effective and enjoyable than doing
it on my own. I can see results already.
Tamara is so upbeat and positive and you feel that she really wants you achieve your goals. She incorporated a
huge variety of exercises in our sessions so it was never boring and was always watchful that I had the correct
form so I wouldn't hurt my shoulder. I learned so many new exercises that I can do on my own when I am away from
the gym.
I highly recommend the group training sessions. If you are tired of working out alone and would like to see a
positive change in your physical and mental well being, then give it a try. I know I will be signing up for the
next session. It makes going to the gym fun!
