Mark Malowney
DC (Chiropractor), BSc. (Kin), CSCS
Dr.
Mark Malowney graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Victoria. With an interest in human movement, he
completed training through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
(CSCS). He then went on to work with varsity and high caliber athletes putting together off-season and in-season training programs.
Through this experience, Dr. Malowney became interested in understanding more about movement and injury, so he went on to attend the
Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. During his time at the college, he worked hard to understand how overuse (chronic) and acute
injuries occur. With a particular interest in sports injuries, he treated numerous athletes while at the college, including runners,
golfers, archers, and basketball, volleyball, rugby, and soccer players.
Dr. Malowney's chiropractic care consists of a patient history followed by a physical exam with a focus on biomechanics and anatomy to
determine the root of the problem. Client treatment consists of a variety of soft tissue techniques, mobilizations and adjustments as well
as prehabilitative / rehabilitative exercises.
Dr. Mark Malowney enjoys working with patients with spinal conditions, but also with those suffering from injuries to extremities
including feet, ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, arms and hands.
